My Vision & Testimony

Vocal Training (Singing) is more than art and hobby, it helps to explore the hidden capability of the human body as an unique instrument.

According to my teaching experience in the hospital and the patients organisation, appropriate breathing and vocal technique training benefit cancer patients (including lung cancer, terminal cancer, oral cancer, nasal cancer, breast cancer, lymph cancer, thyroid cancer, brain cancer, uterus cancer and prostate cancer).

Vocal training helps improve the cardiorespiratory endurance. Lung cancer patients proclaim it soothing the symptom of laboured breathing and asthma. The nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients state that vocal training helps improve the problems caused by fibrosis muscles generated by electrotherapy and chemotherapy. It also improves the problems of dysphagia and hoarseness. Some patients witness the improvement of urinary extravasation and constipate.

Essentially, vocal training encourages their self-confidence and help their limits be transcended.

There are studies in many places showed that singing is a therapy that stimulates neurological cells to improve apraxia of speech, stroke and Parkinson's disease. The patients can administer and express themselves through singing even if they cannot speak.
